Avant-Garde Ramen to be Served at Tokyo Game Show, But Is Anyone Iron-Gutted Enough to Eat It?

The Tokyo Game show always has displays and products guaranteed to shock and amaze video game fans from all over.  This year they seem to be leaning more towards the shock with this gourmet experiment.

Remember when you were a kid, you and your friends would put mustard, salt, ketchup, and squished meat into a McDonald’s cup of cola and dared each other to drink it?

This seems to be the concept behind this Soy Milk Curry Ipecac Ramen.

This dish’s full name is Amane’s Special Curry Ramen with a Touch of Soy Milk and it’s based on the dating simulation game Dream Club released in Japan for the Xbox 360 and PSP systems.

It’s to help promote the latest edition of the game Dream Club Complete Edipyon! for the PS3. One of the main characters of the game is Amane whom you attempt to win over by drinking and listening her karaoke performances. This ramen (and I use the term loosely) comes recommended by her to test your intestinal fortitude. That or save your life if you ingested a poisonous substance.

The full list of ingredients and toppings has not been released, however, from the pictures available we can get a fairly good idea of this concoction.

Ingredients (as interpreted from the photos)

–       Curry Ramen
–       A little Soy Milk
–       A Banana (whole)
–       A Cucumber (whole)
–       A Cherry Tomato
–       Gummies
–       Char Siu (Barbeque Pork)
–       Kamaboko (Fish Paste)
–       Marshmallow
–       Chestnuts
–       Raw Salmon
–       Corn
–       Chocolate Sauce
–       Green Soy Beans
–       Whipped Cream

If that list is too intimidating for you then they also offer a stripped down, more palatable version.

If you order this monstrosity then you get an exclusive aluminum button. That should comfort you while you’re puking your guts out in the parking lot.
