Stop motion car chase has all the thrills of a Hollywood action film

• Michelle Lynn Dinh Jun 23, 2013

Through some elaborate camera work, realistic sound effects, and the use of small figures and buildings, this stop motion video made by YouTube user LUXE37 is impressing netizens around the world. Filmed in a retro-style with cars from the 70s and 80s, this superb stop motion film is a throwback to the golden era of car chase scenes.

Here’s what YouTube commenters from all over the world had to say:

That was way better than Fast and furious 6! Also Im jelous of his super detailed Tomica models!

Awesome, make more!

Oh the destruction of classic (Matchbox) cars!

best chase ever!

Seems like no one has brakes

One of the most ace things I’ve ever seen. :-)

Amazing effort, 10/10 for sure!

That was so well made!!! You are a great filmmaker in my opinion!

Take a look at a few highlights from the film:

With plenty of car flips, screeching tires, and people getting run over, it’s amazing how much drama and action can be conveyed through mini cars and plastic figurines.
