The little hedgehog that couldn’t (but it’s still fun to watch him try) 【Video】

Screen Shot 2013-09-26 at 10.14.40

They may not have the swoon-inducing power of 14 baby pandas in a row, but hedgehogs are nevertheless incredibly cute, and they make great little pets. They’re passive, clean, ideal for those who are out during the daytime, and, as this video proves, hugely entertaining to watch wrestle with the inside of a toilet roll.

Uploaded by Niconico user ReitouRingo, this short video sees what appears to be an African pygmy hedgehog doing his level best to get into a tube that’s clearly far too small for him. As you can probably imagine, cuteness immediately ensues.

Okay, now that’s pretty cute! For those of you unable to access the video where you are, here are some of the best moments.

▼ ” Hmm, there appears to be a tunnel here. I wonder where it leads.”

▼ “Whoops. Let’s try that again.”

▼ “If I head in this direction maybe I can…”

▼ “Or maybe if I pull it towards me…”

▼ “Oh crap…”

▼ “Aaaah! Getitoffgetitoffgetitoffgetitoff!!!!”

▼ “Oh thank god!”

▼ “Seriously though, what was in there?”

▼ “Alright, little guy, enough now.”

Okay, who else wants a pet hedgehog now??
