Cat tights: Now with toe beans and claws for even more cutsy comfort!

You may have resisted the appeal of our future feline overlords so far, but if their internet popularity is any indication, total world domination can’t be far off. If you don’t want to be first against the wall with the dogs and dog-lovers, you may want to invest in these super-cute cat tights. As the ad copy says, put them on and you’ll “transform into a devil-may-care cat!” You’ll be able to blend right in…

Available in grey, black and brown at 2,400 yen for the set (about US$25), these wool-blend tights don’t just have cat-like stripes, they also have built-in claws. Well, not real claws, just a pattern that looks like claws, but you’ll be feeling fierce nonetheless.

Most importantly, the tights have rubberized toe pads on the bottom that will let you grip the ground just like a graceful feline.

▼ Such beauty and grace…

A small portion of the purchase price also goes to the designer’s Felissimo Cat Department, a group that aims to reduce the number of stray cats and dogs euthanized in Japan and make people happier by pairing them with a loving pet. So if the tights don’t protect you from the kitty commandos, maybe that good deed will. Either way, probably best to place your order ASAP.
