The latest selfie trend involves wedding bling and “perfect” hands that cost $1,200

It seems that the road to perfecting a selfie doesn’t stop at getting a perfect angle or perfect face. There is a rising trend among brides-to-be to cosmetically enhance their hands for that perfect “I said YES! And btw, check out my sparkly diamond ring!” photo update. 

Apart from perfectly angled head shots, other popular types of selfies such as “OOTD” (outfit of the day) and “LOTD” (look of the day) brings attention to an individual’s fashion and makeup choices, and the increasingly popular engagement ring selfies which, disputably, aims to share happy news of soon-to-come wedding bells.

Finding Mr. Right is a great blessing in itself, and it’s an extra bonus if he’s financially able and willing to spend half or more of his paycheck to seal the deal with some fancy bling. But some ladies out there aren’t satisfied with just that. The perfectionists in them now want perfect-looking hands that would make their engagement ring selfie look like a dreamy Tiffany ad.

Being self-conscious and concerned about your own body image isn’t essentially a bad thing. If spending some money and time at a cosmetic surgeon’s clinic can make you feel more confident and happier, who’s to say no?
