If you’re planning to buy Hyrule Warriors Legends, watch this video to see if you prefer the Wii U, the “old” 3DS, or the New 3DS version.

Hyrule Warriors, part of both The Legend of Zelda and the Dynasty Warriors game series, was originally released in 2014 for the Wii U. An updated port of the game known as Hyrule Warriors Legends for the New Nintendo 3DS was just released on January 21 in Japan and is set to arrive in the U.S. on March 25. It features new playable characters, a new story chapter, a new game mode, new abilities, and other aesthetic changes.

Since its Japanese release a few days ago, players have been commenting on how the game’s visuals differ depending on whether you’re playing it on the Wii U, the “old” Nintendo 3DS, or the New Nintendo 3DS, which is the fourth incarnation in the DS line of handheld game consoles. One such player posted a comparison video on YouTube showing the game on the three different systems, along with the following comment:

“In this third Comparison vid, i am doing absolutely nothing to show u guys and girls how that A.I is …on all 3 versions.”

Give the video below a watch to see which version you’d like to play for yourself:

Both Japanese and English-speaking net users shared their reactions in the following video comments:

“Wow, the versions are totally different!”

“Hyrule seems pretty peaceful on the old 3DS. Hardly any enemies, lol.”

“The old 3DS version is just sad to look at.”

“This game was meant to be played on the Wii U. Both the old and new 3DS versions play like dog shit.”

“The old 3DS performance looks so slow like everyone ate a bunch of donuts before going into battle.”

“Well, that’s because the new 3DS CPU is 3 times faster. The old 3DS version is noticeably slower for this reason..”

In any case, it looks like the characters have their work cut out for themselves protecting Hyrule on the new Nintendo 3DS system!
