Festive cheer is here, with mugs, tumblers, candles and keychains you won’t find at any other time of year.
It’s that time of year again, when we look at the calendar and realise there’s now less than eight weeks until Christmas. That means it’s time for Starbucks to start bringing us some holiday cheer, and this year it’s doing that with a massive collection of festive goods based around the theme of “Colours of Holiday“.
Red, green, white and gold are the main colours in the collection, with Bearistas and ribbons adding an extra touch of cuteness and glamour to the festivities. There are a lot of wonderful surprises in store, including a trio of exclusive candles, so let’s take a closer look at everything in the range, which Starbucks says will “brighten your heart for the holiday season”.
▼ Holiday 2026 Gift Box Stainless Steel Bottle, Glitter Red, 473 millilitres (16 ounces), 5,550 yen (US$34.86)

This glittery bottle will add a touch of festive flair to your drinking experience during the holidays, but it can also be used all year long.

▼ Easy to cheer, easy to clean.

▼ Holiday 2026 Gift Box with Canister and Ribbon (3,500 yen)

▼ This canister takes the look of a Starbucks cup…

▼ …and gives it a ceramic makeover, transforming it into the perfect vessel for storing your coffee beans.

▼ Beans not included.

▼ Holiday 2026 Gift Box Double-Walled Heat-Resistant Glass with Ribbon (355 millilitres, 3,800 yen)

▼ This glass might look small in the image above, but seeing it in a human hand conveys its true size.

Though the glass itself is massive, the portion that holds the liquid has a 355-millilitre capacity. The rest of the glass is occupied by a beautiful red ribbon, and glittery gold pieces that swirl around every time you take a sip.

▼ Holiday 2026 Gift Boxed Stacking Mug Set (237 millilitres, 4,800 yen)

These mugs stack beautifully within each other, creating a cheerful festive duo that can easily be used throughout the year.

▼ Holiday 2026 Gift Boxed Cold Cup Tumbler Figure (473 millilitres, 4,250 yen)

This is another massive vessel that holds a lot of liquid, but your eye will be quickly distracted by the beautiful festive scene at the top of the tumbler.

A bright red bow and a Bearista keep you company as you sip, and they’ll stay firmly in place even when the tumbler is tilted.

▼ Holiday 2026 Gift Box Glass Tumbler Bearista, 473 millilitres (4,600 yen)

This is one of the cutest items in the whole collection, as the colour of the bear changes depending on the drink inside it. Fill it with milk and you’ll have yourself a white bear, while a black coffee will turn it dark and a latte will give it a delicious light brown hue.

▼ Not only is the bear cute, it’s also easy to clean.

▼ Rounding out the drinkware items is the Holiday 2026 Reusable Cup Tree, 473 millilitres (500 yen)…

▼ …and the Holiday 2026 Reusable Cup Tree 473 millilitres + Holiday 2026 Reusable Cup Dedicated Drink Hole Cap Bearista Tree (1,150 yen)

▼ Moving on to the notebooks, we have the Starbucks Holiday 2026 Campus Ring Notebook Tree (650 yen)…

▼ …and the Journal Book (2,050 yen).

The festive season is a time for gifting, and to help with that are a series of food and drink tickets and beverage cards.
▼ Holiday 2026 Food & Beverage Card – includes food & drink tickets (1,100yen)

▼ Holiday 2026 Beverage Card Tree, with drink ticket (900 yen)

▼ This card becomes your own mini tabletop Christmas tree.

▼ Starbucks Holiday 2026 Mini Cup Gift Red Cup, with drink ticket (1,150 yen)

This is a gift you’ll want to keep for yourself, as the mini cup looks like a tiny Starbucks cup, with a bright festive design.

▼ It also comes with a beautiful mint-green bag…

▼ …and can be used to store small items like paper clips.

▼ Holiday 2026 Bearista Message Gift, with drink ticket (1,650 yen)

▼ A beary cute way to treat someone to a beverage.

▼ Holiday 2026 Craft Paper Shopper S (2,400 yen)

▼ This nifty bag is a beautiful way to carry, or gift, one or more of the bottles in the collection.

▼ Holiday 2026 Cup-Shaped Pouch with Keychain & Mirror (2,600 yen)

▼ Holiday 2026 Bearista (5,500 yen)

▼ Holiday 2026 Gift Boxed Plush Ornament Set (3,500 yen)

▼ This set lets you decorate your tree with a couple of Starbucks ornaments…

▼ … that are a lot bigger than they seem.

▼ Bearista Keychain Set in Holiday 2026 Gift Box (4,500 yen)

This cute item looks set to be a sell-out hit, as the Bearista comes with a change of clothes and a couple of cute snowy companions, creating a very unique type of keychain.

Finally, we have a trio of candles, which can only be purchased at the online store.
▼ Starbucks Moment Refresh Inspired by Yuzu Citrus & Tea (3,800 yen)

▼ Starbucks Moment Joy Inspired by Joyful Medley (3,800 yen)

▼ Starbucks Moment Relax Inspired by Coffee & Spice (3,800 yen)

There’s a lot of joy to be found in the holiday collection, but as always, it will only be around for a limited time while stocks last. This year, online sales will commence at 8:00 p.m. on 30 October, while in-store sales will start on 2 November. Be sure to act quick to grab your favourites!

Pokémon + Starbucks takes us on an epic coffee adventure, and now we want to catch ’em all.
Starbucks Japan is famous for its exclusive limited-edition goods, and this claim to fame is now set to catapult even further, thanks to a massive new team-up with Pokémon. This new collaboration is one of the biggest we’ve ever seen, with 41 goods adorned in original artwork, and a special Pikachu Honey Cream Latte inviting customers to “Embark on a coffee adventure with Pokémon”.

There’s a lot to get through in this new adventure, so let’s start by taking a look at the star beverage, created from a winning recipe selected from a nationwide Starbucks barista competition that received more than 700 entries. The winning recipe was submitted by Junko Nitta of Starbucks Coffee Koriyama Asaka.
▼ Nitta’s win made her the champion of the Pokémon + Starbucks Barista Battle.

The Pikachu Honey Cream Latte combines espresso with caramel and honey, creating bright yellow hues to mimic Pikachu’s colouring, while the honey-flavoured whipped cream on top is scattered with heart-shaped pieces inspired by the character’s red cheeks. According to Starbucks, the coffee flavours have been gently reined in so the drink can even be enjoyed by people who don’t usually drink coffee.

The drink is available in a Tall size only, priced at 678 yen (US$4.29) to go or 690 yen for dine-in, and every customer who purchases it will receive an original collaboration sticker, while stocks last.
Moving on to the accompanying Pokémon + Starbucks goods, they’re all adorned in artwork unique to the collaboration, created by illustrator Hikaru Ichijo. By incorporating Ichijo’s signature style of not depicting faces, the artwork covers 12 scenes where Pokémon and baristas build connections through coffee, showing us how new encounters and communities are born when diverse personalities are accepted.

The artwork welcomes us into a whole world of new discoveries, designed to take us through new adventures. Let’s take a look at how the story unfolds through this unique collection of goods, starting with the items that are available in-store from 30 September.

This reusable cup features original Pokémon + Starbucks collaboration artwork showing a barista, with Poké Ball in hand, surrounded by Pikachu, Bulbasaur, Charmander, Squirtle and Eevee, all building connections around a cup of coffee.
▼ The green circle, which harks back to Starbucks’ mermaid logo, is said to “symbolise the moment of co-creation“.

▼ The back of the cup features a collaboration-themed customisation box…

▼…while the cup itself is easy to use and comes with a removable lid for stress-free cleaning.

There are three Starbucks Cards featuring original artwork created for the collaboration, all available with a minimum 2,000 yen deposit.

New limited-edition range contains one of the cutest tumblers we’ve ever seen.
Starbucks is widely loved by people of all ages in Japan, and as the brand continues to grow, so too does its fanbase, with more and more parents introducing their young children to the joys of the coffeehouse chain.
To cater to that growing market, Starbucks has released a new “Kids and Family Collection”, featuring adorable drinkware, cutlery and a special apron set inspired by the chain’s beloved Bearista character. While the range has been designed with little ones in mind, the products are so cute that fans of all ages will want to get their hands on them.
▼ The cuteness begins with the Handy Stainless Steel Bottle Bearista (500 millilitres [19 ounces], 5,500 yen[US$33.87])

This bottle features an adorable Bearista design, with an abundance of bears — or, to use the correct collective noun, a “sloth” or “sleuth”of bears — displaying a variety of cute facial expressions.
▼ The chain’s signature green adds a contrasting splash of colour to the front and back of the bottle.

The double-walled vacuum-insulated stainless steel construction helps keep drinks hot or cold for longer, while the airtight lid helps prevent leaks. The bottle also comes with a coupon for a free drink of your choice, which is a nice added bonus.

▼ Bearista Straw Tumbler with Strap (458 millilitres 3,500 yen)

▼ This bottle also comes with a free drink ticket, and another collection of cute bear faces.

The chunky tumbler fits snugly in the hand of an adult, but use it with the strap and it becomes the perfect fit for a child, who can wear it around their neck and use it like a sippy cup, thanks to the attached straw.
▼ Starbucks recommends that all the products in this range be used under adult supervision.

▼ Bearista Cutlery Set (2,400 yen)

Having a fork and spoon in your bag can be handy for times when you need to eat, or feed a little one, while out and about. With two Bearistas standing at the ends, this two-piece set is one of the cutest ways to always have cutlery ready to go.

The matching case is inspired by a Frappuccino cup, making it a fun and convenient set to take on outings or even use at home.

▼ Kids Apron Set Bearista 3,300 yen

▼ This set includes a headscarf with bear ears…

▼ …and an apron, recommended for use by children approximately 100–120 centimetres (39–47 inches) tall.

Perfect for wearing while cooking or during other creative activities, this adorable set also comes in a handy drawstring pouch embroidered with the face of a Bearista, making it easy to store and carry.

▼ Stainless Steel Bear Straw Tumbler with Strap (380 millilitres 4,900 yen)

This tumbler is so cute and cleverly made that it’s likely to become a sell-out hit. First off, it comes with a strap on a snug little “Apron Cover” which can be removed for washing.

▼ Removing the “apron” makes the bear look nude, but no less cute.

Flip the lid, though, and the bear becomes even cuter, with its cleverly designed eyes staring up at you, and a straw insert for easy drinking.

▼ The entire lid is removable, for easy cleaning.

These beary adorable goods are likely to fly off shelves when they appear at stores from 22 July. Online sales start a day earlier, at 8 p.m. on 21 July, so shopping online will be your best bet to avoid missing out!

Cutlery, mugs, tumblers and MiiR bottles sparkle in this dazzling new collection.
The end of the year is a magical time in Japan, when cities sparkle with brighly lit illuminations. Starbucks is now capturing that holiday spirit in its latest Christmas Collection, dubbed “Moments of Joy“, with sparkly details mimicking the city lights and bringing joy and festive fun to the proceedings.

This new range has some surprises in store for customers, with a set of cutlery and a couple of furry bags in the mix, alongside a wide selection of tumblers and mugs with dazzling gold details.

So let’s take a closer look at all the items in the range, starting with the Stainless Steel Cutlery Set, which is priced at 3,300 yen (US$20.96) and comes in a beautiful box for gift-giving.

Next, we have the Heat-Resistant Glass Mug Medal (355 millilitres; 3,100 yen), which has the iconic mermaid glistening on a medallion.

Green-and-gold is a classic festive combination, and Starbucks uses them in carefully designed measures to create a mug and reusable cup that catch the eye in any situation.
▼ Mug Medal Green (355 millilitres; 2,900 yen)

▼ Reusable Cup Green (473 millilitres; 550 yen)

The reusable cup is sold both on its own or as a set with a Santa Bearista drink hole cap stopper for 1,200 yen.

Next up, we have a couple of stainless steel bottles made in collaboration with American lifestyle brand MiiR, which specialises in stainless steel drinkware, hydration bottles, apparel, and coffee accessories.
▼ Handle Lid Stainless Steel Bottle MiiR (591 millilitres; 6,750 yen)

▼ Stainless Steel Tumbler MiiR (591 millilitres; 6,200 yen)

Heading over to the cute side for a moment, we have the Cold Cup Tumbler Ribbon (710 millilitres; 3,500 yen), which cleverly adopts the ribbon cookie used in the Starbucks holiday Frappuccino and transforms it into a straw accessory.

If sparkly Starbucks tumblers are more your thing, then you’ll want to invest in the Stainless Steel Tumbler with Rhinestones (473 millilitres; 19,500 yen)

For sparkles at a significantly lower price point, we have the Can-shaped Stainless Steel Bottle, Glitter Grey (355 millilitres; 4,400 yen)…

▼…and the Glitter Champagne Gold Stainless Steel Bottle (444 millilitres; 4,750 yen).

Moving on to the gift cards section, there are three beautifully designed items to choose from.
▼ Champagne Gold Beverage Card (750 yen)

▼ Champagne Gold Mini Cup Gift (1,150 yen)

▼ Champagne Gold Mini Pouch Gift (1,500 yen)

The Starbucks holiday collection is filled with so many treats it’ll be hard to choose just one as a holiday gift, but as always, we’ll have to act fast to secure them as they’re likely to sell out when they’re released online at 8:00 p.m. on 25 November, and in stores around Japan from 26 November.

The Joy Pack Water Bottle brings colour and fun to your hydration session.
On 12 March, Starbucks Japan gave us an exciting new range of limited-edition mugs, tumblers and bottles for spring, but there was one special product that stood out — the Joy Pack Water Bottle.
This brand new, never-before-seen product comes as a set with a “Joy Pack” containing two stickers and a coin case. Amplifying the joy is the fact that these accessories are concealed within the silver pack, adding a blind-buy element to the set as you won’t know what type of stickers and coin case you’ve received until you open the bag.

While there are four different packs available, the bottle at the heart of it all remains the same. With a 710-millilitre (24-ounce) capacity, the bottle is light so it doesn’t add much weight, and the attention to detail is particularly cute, as the 100-millilitre points are marked by coffee beans.
▼ Love is in the details.

Only designed to be used with cold drinks, this bottle will definitely come in handy during the warmer months, and though it’d be worth buying on its own, the “Joy Pack” certainly adds to the appeal. The rustling sound and glossy shine of the bag makes you feel like a kid again when you open it, and that childlike wonder intensifies as you peer inside to discover…
▼…the true identity of your secret goods!

Starbucks’ cute Bearista character is given a gummy-style makeover for the sticker-and-coin-case sets, with candy colours that elicit joy as soon as you lay eyes on them. Applying the stickers to the bottle will add colour and humour to your mobile hydration station, and the coin case can be attached to the handle or around the neck of the bottle for extra convenience.

Sparking even more joy is the price, because although it costs 1,900 yen (US$12.71), you get a free coupon with the set that can be exchanged for 1,100 yen worth of in-store food or a drink priced up to 1,080 yen.
That means the bottle and accessories only costs around 800 yen, and you get the added bonus of being able to treat yourself to a drink or snack as well. With the new colour-changing Frappuccino currently on the menu for a limited time, we definitely know what we’ll be getting!

With 343 possible combinations, it’s like the Crocs craze, only with tumblers instead of shoes.
It’s been 10 years since Starbucks Japan opened its official online store, and to celebrate, the chain has been spoiling customers with a series of special limited-edition anniversary goods. The latest anniversary release is also the final one for the year, and it’s particularly exciting as it’s a reusable stainless steel tumbler that can be fully customised to suit individual tastes.

Called “My Custom Stainless Steel Bottle Barista“, this product is designed to create a fun experience for customers at the online store, where it’s exclusively available. According to Starbucks, the custom bottle is an extension of the chain’s commitment to in-store customisations, where customers can add or switch out ingredients to create a drink that caters to their tastes, although the personalised options here are massive, with a possible 343 combinations.
▼ Customers can choose their favourite cap, drinking rim, and bottle from a choice of seven colours — black, white, light green, green, pink, blue, and gradated pink-yellow.

Every customised bottle comes with a bonus extra — a miniature Starbucks apron for it to wear. This apron provides a deep green contrast to your bottle and helps to anthropomorphise it, so you can imagine it as a barista customising your drink to your personal tastes.

Dressing your tumbler up in a green apron is a unique concept, and while it’s sure to attract the attention of anyone who walks by, it’s also designed to be functional, as the pocket can be used to hold little notes or cards.
▼ To help show you how useful the apron can be, the product also comes with a beverage ticket that can be popped in the pocket and exchanged for a free refill at the chain.

The bottles can hold 473 millilitres (16 ounces) of liquid, which is equivalent to a Grande size drink, and while most people will want to customise the bottle for themselves, the chain suggests using the service to create a personalised gift for family and friends.

▼ The chain also suggests dressing your bottles up with additional accoutrements like ribbons, patches and pins, for even more personalisation.

It’s kind of like the customised Crocs craze, only with tumblers instead of shoes. Whether or not this trend will have the same staying power, well, only time will tell, but for now the custom bottle can be purchased at the Starbucks online store for 5,800 yen (US$41.36).

Beloved character brings anime charm to bottles, a bottle cover and even a cold tea pot in Japan.
As we head into summer, we’re now keeping bottles of water by our side on the daily, and this year, Studio Ghibli is on hand to help make things just that little bit cuter with a new series of drink-related goods, covering bottles, a bottle cover and a cold tea pot that fans will fall in love with.
▼ The first product in the collection is the My Neighbour Totoro Big Totoro Bottle Holder.

In Japan, the Totoro characters from My Neighbour Totoro are classified into three sizes — white is the “Small Totoro“, blue is the “Medium Totoro” and grey is the “Big Totoro” — and this bottle cover features the Big Totoro.
▼ Or as most people would simply call him: Totoro.

Priced at 3,080 yen (US$19.77), the bottle cover measures 18 by 8 by 10 centimetres (7 by 3 by 4 inches) and is designed to be used with 500-millilitre (17-ounce) plastic bottles.
▼ The cover comes with a handy strap, and even features a cute tail on the back side.

The outside of the cover features a Japanese-style fabric while the inside is lined with aluminium sheeting to keep your drink nice and cold.
▼ The drawstring opening makes it easy to drink from your bottle while keeping it inside the cover.

Those wanting a taste of Ghibli magic at home can opt for the Heat-resistant Vertical and Horizontal Cold Water Bottle (2,530 yen).
▼ This bottle comes in two designs: My Neighbour Totoro…

▼…and Kiki’s Delivery Service.

These 2.2-litre (74-ounce) bottles are heat-resistant and can be stored in the fridge vertically or horizontally.

With a wide mouth that’s easy to clean, these bottles feature a screw plug lid with gasket that prevents water from leaking, and a measurement on the side that allows you to keep an eye on liquid levels.

The final item in the collection is the My Neighbour Totoro Cold Tea Pot with Tea Strainer (2,035 yen).

This pot also has a wide mouth, and the removable lid makes it even easier to clean.

With a capacity of 1.2 litres (40 ounces), the pot is cleverly designed to fit easily in the refrigerator door pocket.

▼ It can be filled with cold liquid or hot liquid, so you can prepare the tea to your liking.

The nature-filled design is perfectly suited to a green background, making the pot ideal for cold green tea, which is commonly enjoyed around Japan during summer.

▼ The packaging is just as cute as the pot itself!

The new items can be purchased now at Donguri Kyowakoku stores around Japan and online (bottle cover here, bottles here and here, and tea pot here). With items this cute, we’ll have no trouble enjoying our drinks both indoors and outdoors this summer, and they’ll look right at home with these My Neighbour Totoro pouches too!

Stay hydrated with anime characters that love outdoor excursions.
As the weather warms up and the days get longer, we’ll soon be spending more time in the great outdoors, and now we’ll be able to enjoy it all with two Studio Ghibli characters who love outdoor expeditions as much as we do.
Totoro from My Neighbour Totoro and Jiji from Kiki’s Delivery Service are the two characters that will be by our side this summer, bringing smiles to our faces with a collection of stainless steel mugs and tumblers that’ll keep our beverages at the perfect temperature all day long.
The two stainless steel mugs have a vacuum-insulated double-wall structure to prevent condensation and keep heat or cold from escaping, and there are two Totoro designs to choose from.
▼ The My Neighbour Totoro Vacuum Stainless Mug is priced at 3,630 yen (US$23.72)

This adorable design shows Totoro enjoying nature’s bounty with a medium and small Totoro on the front, and a couple of Soot Sprites on the back.

With a non-slip rubber base and a sliding lid that covers the spout, this cup is incredibly convenient to use.

Even if you add ice to the container, there’ll be no condensation on the outside of the cup, and because it’s so well insulated, your hands won’t feel any sense of cold when you lift it up for a sip.

While the metal in this cup means it can’t be used in the microwave, Ghibli has a solution for that, with the My Neighbour Totoro Vacuum Stainless Steel Mug with Inner Cup (3,850 yen).

This sweet design shows Totoro on a spinning top, harking back to the iconic flying scene from the movie, with a couple of Soot Sprites on the back and darker green hues.

While it also has a vacuum-insulated double layered structure, it contains something extra — an inner cup that can be heated in the microwave.

This allows the mug to be used in two ways — either on its own or with the insert, so you can use it in any season.

Next up, we have two 500-millilitre (17-ounce) octagonal stainless steel bottles, starting with the Magical Jiji.

▼ This design features a set of paw prints, with Jiji displaying a variety of facial expressions,

▼ Like the mugs, these bottles can also be used for hot or cold drinks.

The bottles have non-slip rubber bases and an octagonal shape that prevents them from rolling on flat surfaces while creating a snug fit in your hand.

The lid has a non-slip surface that makes it easy to grip, and inside there’s a double spout, with the smaller one designed for sipping hot drinks and the larger one for gulping down cold beverages.
▼ If you’ve filled up with a hot drink, you’ll want to sip from the “熱い” (“atsui” or “hot”) spout, while cold drinks should be drunk from the “冷たい” (“tsumetai” or “cold”) spout.

Fans of My Neighbour Totoro will want to opt for the Totoro Dondoko bottle, which has the same capacity and specs as the Jiji model, only with a muted colour palette and cute Totoro design.

This design is reminiscent of the “Bouncing Totoro” zoetrope on display at the Ghibli Museum, where the umbrella-holding character appears to bounce up and down when the display spins around.

If you’re after a smaller bottle, there are two 350-millilitre capacity varieties to choose from.
▼ The Magical Jiji design is a pink affair.

▼ While the Totoro Dodonko design opts for pale blue hues.

The bottles and mugs will keep drinks hot or cold for around six hours, and the larger bottle is priced at 4,510 yen while the smaller model retails for 4,180 yen. The range can be purchased at Donguri Kyowakoku stores and online while stocks last.

Hokusai’s Great Wave off Kanagawa gets a new look for this souvenir coke bottle design.
Back in 2017, Coca-Cola began packaging its signature drink in special limited-edition bottles in Japan, showcasing some of the country’s top sightseeing destinations from Sapporo to Setouchi.
Now, there’s a new design appearing in stores, and unlike the regional varieties, which were only available in their respective cities, this one can be purchased all around the country, with the exception of Okinawa.
The Japan-exclusive design captures the essence of the country with motifs from a very famous artwork that are instantly recognisable.
▼ The new product is called “Coca-Cola Slim Bottle Japanese Pattern Design“

Splashed across the slim bottle is the giant wave and Mt Fuji, two of the main motifs from The Great Wave off Kanagawa, a woodblock print created in 1831 by Japanese ukiyo-e artist Katsushika Hokusai (1760-1849).
While the vivid indigo blue from the original print has been significantly muted to complement Coca-Cola’s brand colours and create an on-trend colour palette for 2023, the energy and vitality of the iconic artwork helps to generate a strong visual for the new design.
It’s an eye-catching bottle that’s sure to appeal to locals and tourists alike so keep an eye out for it in stores, where each 250 millilitre bottle will be on sale from 27 February at a recommended retail price of 125 yen (US$0.91).
And with sakura season just around the corner, there might be a new cherry blossom bottle coming our way soon too!

Limited-time campaign comes complete with cute AR bunnies for the Year of the Rabbit.
Omikuji are personal fortunes that you can purchase at most shrines and temples throughout Japan. While the standard kind comes in the form of a thinly rolled up piece of paper, there are other forms, too–including the virtual ones that Coca-Cola Japan has just released to celebrate the start of the new year.
Determined to start 2023 with some positive vibes, our Japanese-language reporter Masanuki Sunakoma bought a couple of bottles of the drink. From the front, they looked like completely ordinary bottles.

However, twisting them sideways revealed some cute bunny illustrations to celebrate the Year of the Rabbit.

The yellow note instructed him to peel back the label to reveal a QR code, which he could then scan to play a quick game and receive his fortune.

Masanuki sat down to unveil his first QR code when all of a sudden his SoraSenses went into overdrive. Something was coming…and he didn’t like the sound of it.

That “something” turned out to be his editor-in-chief and occasional kiddie-pool-hair-flipper Go Hatori, sprinting over to him with a demonic grin.

Masanuki’s apprehension turned out to be entirely warranted as Go enthusiastically shoved him out of his seat.

▼ The unceremonious moment of impact

“Too much play and not enough work!” yelled Go as he victoriously snatched the bottle of regular Coke for himself.

He then set to peeling away the label himself…

…to scan the QR code on his phone (why are we still using action lines here?!).

Aha! He was transported to the special Coca-Cola fortune site. At this point poor Masanuki could only peer over the edge of the table to watch his good vibes fly away into Go’s aura…

The site also shared that players whose fortunes were good enough would be entered into a lottery to win New Year’s picture scroll cups and a small plate set based on the Scrolls of Frolicking Animals, or score points for instant messaging app Line.

The game loaded onto his screen with instructions to hold his smartphone steadily in front of him.

Suddenly, a picture of the drab office table came into view through his camera, along with some virtual bunnies! Each rabbit represented one theme out of nine total (today, work, health, fandom, studies, love, the New Year, new adults, and setsubun [a seasonal tradition that includes bean-throwing]), and it would tell you your fortune if you threw the carrot to it. Go decided to go with the “work” bunny.

▼ You’ve got this, bunny!

The bunny then adorably hopped up close to him and held out a red fortune with instructions for Go to tap on it.

He scored super special mega good luck!!!

Normally you can’t even get higher than “good luck,” so this was incredibly fortuitous indeed.
▼ A small note also stated that he’d begin going all out at work the day after tomorrow.

Go was so excited that he jumped up to celebrate. This kind of New Year’s luck was actually motivating enough to start working hard right away.

With all of those good vibes now in his system, Go excitedly ran out of the room, hopefully not to bother Masanuki again for the rest of the day.
At the very least, Go hadn’t stolen Masanuki’s second bottle of Coke–this one being a zero sugar version. This time no one should get in the way of his duly-earned fortune.

This time, he threw the carrot to the fandom bunny that was directly in front of him and watched it hop on up with his fortune.

Here was the moment of truth!

Masanuki also got super special mega good luck!!! His little message added that his oshi (celebrity of devotion) should gain new fans. He was actually happier with this result than with Go’s, so he supposed it had all worked out for the best.

The special fortune-telling Coca-Cola bunny bottles and related promotions will only be available through April 9. For more cute tie-ins with the Year of the Rabbit, you may also want to check out Starbucks’ line of themed goods.

Once you pop, you can’t stop…pouring hot drinks.
The classic canned potato snacks Pringles have undergone a number of transformations in Japan, from exclusive flavors like karaage to instant noodles, Hello Kitty dolls, and even a gigantic 161-centimeter can.
Photo ©SoraNews24
And now, a perhaps more obvious take on Pringles’ easily recognizable packaging has been accomplished with the Pringles vacuum flask!

These bottles come in three flavors; Salted, Sour Cream & Onion, and CHEEEEEEESE which is a four-cheese blend.

However, there are no actual chips in these containers, and users are advised not to put chips inside among all the lighthearted warnings printed on the back to help simulate the look of a real can.
▼ “Eating Pringles while drinking from the Pringles bottle may result in an inability to stop.”

As a vacuum flask, these Pringles bottles boast an ability to maintain both hot and cold temperatures for about six hours. And with a slim design that will leave plenty of room in your bag for an actual can of Pringles.

It also doesn’t attract condensation and maintains the ambient temperature on the outer surface, so it’s easy to hold. Its no-slip rubber bottom also makes it great for indoor use such as a cup of coffee at the office, or outdoor use like a refreshing drink of cold water while hiking.

Each can is adorned with the familiar Pringles mustachioed mascot who sometimes goes by the name of “Mr. P” in Japan, and…
Hang on a minute…
▼ Who pours water like that?!

Anyway, these bottles hold 250 milliliters (8.5 ounces) and sell for 2,198 yen (US$19) at Lawson convenience stores, HMV, or HMV & Books Online. In addition, a 300-milliliter (10-ounce) Sour Cream & Onion bottle will be sold from 18 February exclusively from the online retailer Takarajima Channel for 2,420 yen ($21).

It’s an item sure to please not only Pringles fans, but anyone who appreciates being able to carry beverages from one place to another at a certain temperature. Lukewarm enthusiasts need not apply.

Short on cookware or want to minimize clean-up time after dinner? Skip the recycling center and use your old bottles to whip up something good!
Just a few days ago we showed you some nifty ways to repurpose your old water bottles into functional everyday items, but did you know that you can even use them in the kitchen?
Here are just some of the simple recipes that Japanese netizens are raving about and sharing, and now you can try your hand at them, too!
Pizza Dough (Single Serving)
- 110 g (a little over a cup) flour
- 10 g (2 teaspoons) butter
- 3 g (3/4 teaspoon) sugar
- 3 g (3/4 teaspoon) dry yeast
- 65 mL (2.3 oz) water
- A little salt
To make the pizza dough, first put all the ingredients above inside the plastic bottle and shake. Place the bottle under your clothes and run around for a little bit, holding the bottle close to your stomach. (If you’ve got kids, delegate this task to them!)
https://twitter.com/a_bikke/status/730183325940224000
Let the bottle set for 30 minutes. As soon as you open the cap, the dough should come rising out. Add sauce and your favorite toppings, and then bake in the oven. Buon appetito!

Fried Rice Flowers
https://twitter.com/amazonoutdoorko/status/730319322317504512
Cut the end of a plastic bottle off, using a sharp object to make a hole in the bottle and scissors to cut. (For your safety, the original poster discourages using box cutters or a utility knife to cut the end off.)
Pack fried rice inside the bottle end and you should get a cute-looking flower shape, perfect for bento-size lunches or a bite-sized dish. Use scallops to garnish.
No-Mess Takoyaki (Octopus Dumplings)

- 400 g (4 cups) takoyaki mix
- 5 eggs
- 1,400 mL (7 cups) water
- 1 package of dashi no moto soup stock (optional)
Mix together the takoyaki mix, eggs, dashi no moto, and around 1,000 mL (5 cups) of water in a bowl. Use a funnel to pour it inside a 2-liter plastic bottle. Pour the rest of the water in until the bottle is full, put the cap on, and shake!
Pour the mix onto your takoyaki grill and add octopus, fish cakes, or whatever else you want inside! Cook and turn over like regular takoyaki. Not only is it easy, but the bottle gives you a spill-free pour every time!
But what about dessert, you say?
Merengue (Single Serving)

Put an egg white into a plastic bottle, adding a little sugar if desired. Shake for three or four minutes until the contents appears foamy. Open the lid to allow in air, and then close the lid and shake again. After one or two minutes it should be ready to eat or use as a topping!
Orange Gelatin (8 servings)

- 380 mL (2 and 4/5 cup) orange or mikan juice
- 2 tablespoons of granulated sugar
- 1 tablespoon of Cointreau (orange-flavored liqueur from France)
- 10 g (2 teaspoons) gelatin
- 100 mL (1/2 cup) of water at 80 degrees Celsius/176 degrees Fahrenheit
- Ice cubes
- A little mint
Put the gelatin mix into a bowl and add the water to melt. In a separate bowl, add the juice and sugar, and mix well until the sugar dissolves. Add the melted gelatin mix to the second bowl and mix well before adding the Cointreau.
Put ice inside the first bowl and stack the second bowl on top to cool the mixture off. Add one cube of ice to mixture and stir until liquid appears runny. Pour the mixture into a 2-liter bottle and shake. Foam should form inside the bottle, and if you let it set for about 30 seconds, the foam will rise to the top. Shake once more and pour into eight serving-size glasses.

When you pour the mixture into each glass, the foam should make up about half of the height, but will gradually diminish. Cool for 30 minutes, add mint for garnish, and enjoy!

Because the cast of Prison School would just hate for things to get all wet and dirty.
Recently, we’ve seen a couple of anime series get their own lines of officially licensed lingerie. We’ve also seen multiple releases of undersized underwear designed to be slipped over a drink bottle to soak up the condensation from the chilled beverage inside. So perhaps it was inevitable that we’d one day see anime character panties for plastic bottles.
And that day is today.
Novelty goods maker Kitan Club, the company that previously gave Japan sushi cat figurines and futon-style smartphone holders, is teaming up with risque anime and manga franchise Prison School for its new PBP, or Prison School Plastic Bottle Panties and Underwear, collection. But whereas the lingerie lines for fellow anime Puella Magi Madoka Magica, Evangelion, and Sailor Moon took cues from the image colors of its prominent characters, the Prison Break panties go one step farther by being modeled on the underwear their representative characters are shown wearing within the anime itself.
▼ Meiko

▼ Mari

▼ Hana

The female characters’ panties are sized to fit snugly but comfortably around the bottom of a 500-mililiter (16.9-ounce) bottle, the most commonly found size in vending machines and convenience stores.
▼ Anzu

▼ Chiyo

In addition, one male member of the Prison School gang is getting in on the action: plus-sized Andre, whose extra-large briefs are intended to wrap around a two-liter bottle.

Surprisingly, Andre’s undies aren’t any more expensive than his female classmates’, as each pair of Prison School plastic bottle underpants is priced at 490 yen (US$4.40). The whole line initially goes on sale at the Animega specialty shop in Tokyo’s Odaiba neighborhood, and is expected to make its way to anime retailers elsewhere soon. Pick up all six, and as long as you’re willing to let your cold beverages go commando on Sundays, you’ll be set for the week.
