Each beverage has its own unique character so you can choose which one you’d like to party with.
With the holiday season fast approaching, Starbucks is bringing the party spirit to its stores in Japan with a trio of new drinks based around the theme of “Let’s par-TEA!” As the name suggests, the three new holiday drinks shine a spotlight on tea, with strawberry, royal milk tea and Earl Grey chocolate featuring in the beverages.
The three stars of this tea party each have their own distinct character, so you can choose the one that best suits your mood. Those wanting an elegant pick-me-up can opt for the Joyful Medley Strawberry Creamy Tea Latte, which combines robust black tea with the smooth sweetness of oolong tea and the floral fragrance of jasmine tea, finished with a subtle hint of apricot.
▼ Joyful Medley Strawberry Creamy Tea Latte (Tall size only, 638 yen [US$4.03] for takeout; 650 yen for dine-in)

The blended tea base is joined by sweetened fresh cream and a topping of strawberry-flavoured mousse and freeze-dried strawberries. The rich aroma of the chain’s famous Joyful Medley blend, which is reminiscent of apricot jam, is layered with creamy sweetness, while the finish remains refreshing, allowing you to enjoy a variety of tastes and aromas throughout the beverage.
▼ Earl Grey Chocolate Frappuccino (Tall size only, 678 yen takeout; 690 yen dine-in)

Those wanting a little more playfulness can reward themselves with this tea-and-chocolate Frappuccino, which combines aromatic Earl Grey with rich chocolate sauce and crunchy chocolate chips. It has a mellow, layered flavour, with the gentle fragrance of bergamot and the taste of black tea spreading through the palate with every sip, while the chocolate chips add crunchy textural contrast, capturing the playful spirit of the holiday season.
▼ Royal Milk Tea (609 yen takeout; 620 yen dine-in)

Finally, we have a rich, blended milk tea that combines milk with an original blend of three teas: Darjeeling, Assam and Ceylon. The full-bodied flavour of the tea harmonises with the mellow creaminess of the milk, creating a rich and rewarding taste that tea lovers will fall in love with.
As an extra special holiday treat, Starbucks is also adding a cookie option, so you can add more flavour and a dash of cuteness to any iced beverage that’s topped with whipped cream or mousse foam.
▼ Be a Santa Cookie Topping (69 yen takeout; 70 yen dine-in)

The “Be a Santa Cookie Topping” has a buttery aroma and crisp yet crumbly shortbread texture. The three designs – a present, a Christmas tree and a Santa hat – are provided at random so, like a Christmas present, you won’t know what you’re getting until it’s given to you by the barista.
While the cookie topping will be available while stocks last from 2-19 November, the drinks will be on the menu for a limited (but unspecified) time from 2 November.

Festive cheer is here, with mugs, tumblers, candles and keychains you won’t find at any other time of year.
It’s that time of year again, when we look at the calendar and realise there’s now less than eight weeks until Christmas. That means it’s time for Starbucks to start bringing us some holiday cheer, and this year it’s doing that with a massive collection of festive goods based around the theme of “Colours of Holiday“.
Red, green, white and gold are the main colours in the collection, with Bearistas and ribbons adding an extra touch of cuteness and glamour to the festivities. There are a lot of wonderful surprises in store, including a trio of exclusive candles, so let’s take a closer look at everything in the range, which Starbucks says will “brighten your heart for the holiday season”.
▼ Holiday 2026 Gift Box Stainless Steel Bottle, Glitter Red, 473 millilitres (16 ounces), 5,550 yen (US$34.86)

This glittery bottle will add a touch of festive flair to your drinking experience during the holidays, but it can also be used all year long.

▼ Easy to cheer, easy to clean.

▼ Holiday 2026 Gift Box with Canister and Ribbon (3,500 yen)

▼ This canister takes the look of a Starbucks cup…

▼ …and gives it a ceramic makeover, transforming it into the perfect vessel for storing your coffee beans.

▼ Beans not included.

▼ Holiday 2026 Gift Box Double-Walled Heat-Resistant Glass with Ribbon (355 millilitres, 3,800 yen)

▼ This glass might look small in the image above, but seeing it in a human hand conveys its true size.

Though the glass itself is massive, the portion that holds the liquid has a 355-millilitre capacity. The rest of the glass is occupied by a beautiful red ribbon, and glittery gold pieces that swirl around every time you take a sip.

▼ Holiday 2026 Gift Boxed Stacking Mug Set (237 millilitres, 4,800 yen)

These mugs stack beautifully within each other, creating a cheerful festive duo that can easily be used throughout the year.

▼ Holiday 2026 Gift Boxed Cold Cup Tumbler Figure (473 millilitres, 4,250 yen)

This is another massive vessel that holds a lot of liquid, but your eye will be quickly distracted by the beautiful festive scene at the top of the tumbler.

A bright red bow and a Bearista keep you company as you sip, and they’ll stay firmly in place even when the tumbler is tilted.

▼ Holiday 2026 Gift Box Glass Tumbler Bearista, 473 millilitres (4,600 yen)

This is one of the cutest items in the whole collection, as the colour of the bear changes depending on the drink inside it. Fill it with milk and you’ll have yourself a white bear, while a black coffee will turn it dark and a latte will give it a delicious light brown hue.

▼ Not only is the bear cute, it’s also easy to clean.

▼ Rounding out the drinkware items is the Holiday 2026 Reusable Cup Tree, 473 millilitres (500 yen)…

▼ …and the Holiday 2026 Reusable Cup Tree 473 millilitres + Holiday 2026 Reusable Cup Dedicated Drink Hole Cap Bearista Tree (1,150 yen)

▼ Moving on to the notebooks, we have the Starbucks Holiday 2026 Campus Ring Notebook Tree (650 yen)…

▼ Holiday 2026 Beverage Card Tree, with drink ticket (900 yen)

▼ …and can be used to store small items like paper clips.

▼ Holiday 2026 Bearista Message Gift, with drink ticket (1,650 yen)

▼ A beary cute way to treat someone to a beverage.

▼ Holiday 2026 Craft Paper Shopper S (2,400 yen)

▼ … that are a lot bigger than they seem.

▼ Bearista Keychain Set in Holiday 2026 Gift Box (4,500 yen)

This cute item looks set to be a sell-out hit, as the Bearista comes with a change of clothes and a couple of cute snowy companions, creating a very unique type of keychain.

Finally, we have a trio of candles, which can only be purchased at the online store.
▼ Starbucks Moment Refresh Inspired by Yuzu Citrus & Tea (3,800 yen)

▼ Starbucks Moment Joy Inspired by Joyful Medley (3,800 yen)

Cutlery, mugs, tumblers and MiiR bottles sparkle in this dazzling new collection.
The end of the year is a magical time in Japan, when cities sparkle with brighly lit illuminations. Starbucks is now capturing that holiday spirit in its latest Christmas Collection, dubbed “Moments of Joy“, with sparkly details mimicking the city lights and bringing joy and festive fun to the proceedings.

This new range has some surprises in store for customers, with a set of cutlery and a couple of furry bags in the mix, alongside a wide selection of tumblers and mugs with dazzling gold details.

So let’s take a closer look at all the items in the range, starting with the Stainless Steel Cutlery Set, which is priced at 3,300 yen (US$20.96) and comes in a beautiful box for gift-giving.

Next, we have the Heat-Resistant Glass Mug Medal (355 millilitres; 3,100 yen), which has the iconic mermaid glistening on a medallion.

Green-and-gold is a classic festive combination, and Starbucks uses them in carefully designed measures to create a mug and reusable cup that catch the eye in any situation.
▼ Mug Medal Green (355 millilitres; 2,900 yen)

▼ Reusable Cup Green (473 millilitres; 550 yen)

The reusable cup is sold both on its own or as a set with a Santa Bearista drink hole cap stopper for 1,200 yen.

Next up, we have a couple of stainless steel bottles made in collaboration with American lifestyle brand MiiR, which specialises in stainless steel drinkware, hydration bottles, apparel, and coffee accessories.
▼ Handle Lid Stainless Steel Bottle MiiR (591 millilitres; 6,750 yen)

▼ Stainless Steel Tumbler MiiR (591 millilitres; 6,200 yen)

Heading over to the cute side for a moment, we have the Cold Cup Tumbler Ribbon (710 millilitres; 3,500 yen), which cleverly adopts the ribbon cookie used in the Starbucks holiday Frappuccino and transforms it into a straw accessory.

If sparkly Starbucks tumblers are more your thing, then you’ll want to invest in the Stainless Steel Tumbler with Rhinestones (473 millilitres; 19,500 yen)

For sparkles at a significantly lower price point, we have the Can-shaped Stainless Steel Bottle, Glitter Grey (355 millilitres; 4,400 yen)…

▼…and the Glitter Champagne Gold Stainless Steel Bottle (444 millilitres; 4,750 yen).

Moving on to the gift cards section, there are three beautifully designed items to choose from.
▼ Champagne Gold Beverage Card (750 yen)

▼ Champagne Gold Mini Cup Gift (1,150 yen)

▼ Champagne Gold Mini Pouch Gift (1,500 yen)

And finally, we have two cosy bags to keep your bottles and tumblers nice and snug throughout the winter months.
▼ Bottle Shoulder Bag Beige Fur (2,950 yen)

▼ Bottle Shoulder Bag Grey Fur (2,950 yen)

The Starbucks holiday collection is filled with so many treats it’ll be hard to choose just one as a holiday gift, but as always, we’ll have to act fast to secure them as they’re likely to sell out when they’re released online at 8:00 p.m. on 25 November, and in stores around Japan from 26 November.

With a new cake and hot apple cider joining the festivities, this is shaping up to be a delicious holiday season.
After revealing its first round of Christmas drinks before Halloween was even over, Starbucks is back again with the grand unveiling of its second round of festive drinks, and these look even tastier than the first.
Whereas the initial drinks combined the chain’s Joyful Medley tea blend with strawberries, the latest release shifts the focus to chocolate and marshmallows for a richer, more unctuous flavour. This combination of chocolate and marshmallows conjures up thoughts of bonfires and toasty treats, and that’s exactly what these new drinks offer, as they’re called the S’mores Chocolate Latte and the S’mores Chocolate Frappuccino.

The latte (pictured on the left in the image above) combines bitter chocolate sauce with the flavour of salted caramel, an espresso shot, and carefully steamed milk. The topping contains tiny marshmallows and crunchy whole wheat pieces, the two main components of s’mores, and finishes it all off with a sprinkling of brulee sugar for added sweetness. The fragrant aromas are said to gently spread through the palate, while the marshmallows gradually melt in the warmth of the latte, allowing you to enjoy the changing texture and flavour as you sip your way through the drink.
The S’mores Chocolate Frappuccino is a deep, flavourful drink that combines an espresso shot with chocolate sauce, creating a fragrant yet deliciously bitter taste. It’s also topped with whipped cream, marshmallows, whole wheat pieces and brûlée sugar, but comes with the addition of a special chocolatey “s’mores sauce” for added richness. The variation in textures between the fluffy marshmallows and crunchy wheat pieces is said to be one of the highlights of this drink, in addition to the chocolatey coffee flavours.
According to Starbucks, both drinks are said to represent a slightly more grown-up version of s’mores that’s perfect for the holiday season, and they’re said to pair well with the new Strawberry & Chocolate Tart (also pictured above) that’s set to be released on the same day.
As if that wasn’t enough of a Christmas present for us, Starbucks has also announced it will be releasing yet another new beverage, and this one is called Hot Apple Cider.

A staple at many Christmas markets in Japan, hot apple cider is becoming synonymous with local festive celebrations, and this one combines apple juice with the flavours of cinnamon, cloves, and orange, topped with freeze-dried apple, strawberry and cranberry pieces. Said to be “a simple yet sophisticated version” of the holiday drink, each cup of Hot Apple Cider is carefully steamed by a barista, and the tantalising, spicy flavours are designed to warm your body and soul from the very first sip.
All the items above are set to be released on 26 November, with the Frappuccino sold in a Tall size only, priced at 678 yen (US$4.36) for takeout and 690 yen for dine-in. The Latte and the Hot Apple Cider will be available in Short through to Venti Sizes, priced from 570-710 yen and 550-690 yen respectively. As for the tart, it will be on the menu at 570 yen for takeout and 580 yen for dine-in.
That’s a lot of festive selections to choose from, and you can bet we’ll be trying them all for you as soon as they’re released, right after we finish sipping on our truffle Soupuccino.

With Halloween yet to come, Starbucks is already serving up festive cheer.
There’s a lot of competition out there in the world of sweet dessert drinks, so one way to stay ahead of the curve is by beating everyone to the punch with seasonal releases. Nobody beats Starbucks at this game, because on 27 October, four full days ahead of Halloween, the chain revealed its limited-edition drinks for the holiday season.
The theme for this year is “Joyful Medley – Connected by Joy”, with the notion being that through Starbucks, joy is created, connecting people and feelings while spreading smiles throughout the holidays. As Starbucks’ signature winter tea, the Joyful Medley is a popular blend of strong black tea that many customers look forward to each year, and this time the refreshing oolong and fragrant jasmine and apricot components will be enhanced with mirabelle plum for a gorgeous yet deep and rich flavour.
▼ This year’s box of 12 Joyful Medley tea bags costs 1,680 yen (US$11.03).

To celebrate the season of joy, Starbucks will be featuring the Joyful Medley in a limited-edition Frappuccino and Latte, with the addition of strawberry for a special red-hued treat.
The Strawberry & Joyful Medley Tea Frappuccino is a vibrant drink that contains chunks of strawberry pulp in the base and a creamy milk tea blend on top, with the components served in a diagonally layered style that’s pleasing to the eye. The chunky texture of the sweet and tart strawberry pulp is said to pair perfectly with the gorgeous aroma of the Joyful Medley, filling the palate with a gentle sweetness. The mound of whipped cream is finished with freeze-dried strawberries to complete the festive look.

As an extra special treat, four types of holiday-themed mini cookies, in the shape of a ribbon, snowman, bear, and doll, will be sold separately for customers to add a sweet dash of holiday flair to their Frappuccino, or any other cream-topped iced beverage on the menu. The cookies are selected randomly by the barista to give you the same sense of excitement as receiving a Christmas gift, albeit one you’ve paid for.
While the Frappuccino is only available iced, and in a Tall size only, from 687 yen, the Strawberry Mousse & Joyful Medley Tea Latte is available iced or hot, and in a variety of sizes, from Short through to Venti, with prices ranging from 570-710 yen. The latte version combines smooth, tart strawberry mousse with a rich tea latte that showcases the robust flavours of a milky Joyful Medley.
The holiday cheer isn’t over yet, though, as two other festive favourites are making their return to the menu.
▼ The Joyful Medley Tea Latte (from 520 yen)…

▼ …and the Gingerbread Latte, inspired by the spicy flavour of gingerbread cookies.

The festivities kick off on 1 November, when all the items above will become available, replacing the Halloween Frappuccino and spooky black cat goods and drinkware for yet another year.
